We will now explore the lies of signs & wonders from a Biblical perspective.
First and foremost, IF your church or ministry is claiming the presence of the Holy Ghost [Spirit of God] by speaking in so called confusing language called tongues, how do you explain its absence in church history for 1900 years??.
Also why doesn't Paul ever mention it in a positive way, something that should be sought after? strange indeed.
Why would one insist on claiming these gifts for yourself when the text plainly indicates this was a sign ONLY to the church of Corinth and a sign ONLY to the unbelieving Jewish nation of Israel.
IF one claims these verses out of context, one cannot be Rightly Dividing the word of truth as Paul instructs, as one cannot discredit the claims of Catholicism , since they too lay claim for casting out demons as well, as hundreds of other demonization's do.
ALL over the world these signs , healings, and miracles are being claimed in the name of Jesus. Church after Church , is becoming apostate, in every denomination . Many of the churches are claiming gifts, by speaking in tongues, from the Jewish book of 2nd COR 12,13,14 {Tongues}
But the Scriptures make it crystal clear that the gifts to the church [ our Mystery church] are to be found in the book of Ephesians, while the gifts mentioned in 2nd Corinthians, were a Sign only to the Jews, who seek after signs. As one tries to force these claims to a body of believers that were not to be the recipients, they are met with the challenge to , reverse scriptures out of context, in violation of the word of God.
The scriptures make it perfectly clear, that the signs and wonders will accompany the FALSE Churches and Ministries , in the last days .
This is why Jesus said in MAT 7:22.. I never knew you....
You see, the scriptures verify by Jesus statement , that one way we will be able to tell the difference between the False Church is by it Lying Signs & Wonders ,,, if that were not true, they please pre tell answer me this....
How could the True believers be able to tell the difference, if both the TRUE and the FALSE Church , both possess this divine attribute!! of speaking in tongues and healing and wonders!!
THE ANSWER IS THEY BOTH CANNOT POSSIBLY HAVE THE SAME GIFTS AND ABILITIES , THAT WOULD ONLY LEND MORE CONFUSION TO THE BODY OF CHRIST...
To conclude any other meaning, would be to contradict the Lords own words. One cannot take from one group the God clearly intended to the other group , and still be sound doctrine and still Rightly Divide the Word of Truth , it cannot be done.
Now the question begs to be answered, what do we do with all these churches all claiming to posses the power of the Holy Spirit .Of Course one could falsely defend themselves, by standing on MRK16:17 These signs shall follow them that believe.... which is commonly quoted by these false teachers, again Not Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth , May I repeat it again.... they are taking verses and instructions, for one group and applying it to themselves , a different group. There you have it.
The ability to speak in tongues according to the Word of God , is clearly Demonic, anything other , fails to Rightly Divide the Word of Truth.
Apostles:
This obvious fact concludes that the Disciples ONLY ,,, had the sign & healing gifts, Tongues[or languages] read 2nd Corinthians and the book of ACTS, to bear those facts out.
These sign gifts were their[ The disciples] Credentials , and no one else.
It was They that went forth, the Lord working with them! confirming the works with signs and wonders,, not a divine command to any other group of people,,,, but only to them. It was the disciples that God would show His Power to ,, not to all future generations, of whom which today falsely claim the gifts , nothing can be further from the truth.
When we Rightly Divide the Word of Truth, it then becomes clear and simple.
Satan as we know, has infiltrated the church of believers, today by masquerading, these signs that have no real power. I have always questioned the absence of the gifts, from 90 AD,,, till the 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as the accompanying gifts , healings and wonders.
That absence alone, is suspicious, in and of itself.
The writings of Paul and other apostles , has been Silent, no where in the Epistles are Christians ever told or instructed to seek or receive these special powers of the Holy Spirit .

IF THE FALSE CHURCH AND TRUE CHURCH, BOTH HAD THE SAME GIFTS
HOW ARE WE TO TELL WHICH IS FALSE AND WHICH IS TRUE?
The text properly identifies to what group is to receive the sign gifts the Jewish disciples and none else.
The word of God is not the author of confusion Satan is .If we will simply allow the Bible to interpret itself we can easily conclude that God has allowed the deceptions of Signs and Wonders and Miracles [Speaking in Tongues] conducted by the workings of Satan through these false ministries...so we can know for sure they are from Satan and to be rejected.
To dispute this clear fact would deny the truth and power in the ONLY verse in the Bible that proves beyond a shadow of doubt, that Healings Signs and Wonders, and miracles are a sign of a False spirit False church , read MAT 24 , and 7 :22 of course Jesus himself is stating this for the record
As for Tongues, I have personally witnessed Pastor after Pastor all lay claims to the sign gifts and have no evidence to support it .
The Holy spirit which Jesus said he would send, and not a spirit of signs, in his absence, is defined as the spirit of Truth.. that is it the comforter and teacher.... no spirits of gifts ever mentioned or promised to the churches.
These true and only spirits align perfectly with the scriptures, such as affliction, endurance , patience, long suffering, watching, and persecution .
When one applies the Rightly Divided method we are told to use, it then makes perfect sense, why he would leave them.
Now think about this ,,, not one statement from Jesus , Peter, or Paul and others , stating otherwise.
As the scriptures climax to a conclusion in Revelation, it is there at his return that Jesus demonstrates absolute power and authority, and not prior which would be after the death of the disciples.
The false teaching that [ Tongues] healings signs and wonders, accompany all believers,, cannot be substantiated anywhere in the Bible. Of course one can try to force and bend scriptures to fit their agendas, but they will fall like a house of cards, when scriptures are compared to scriptures.
God has chosen the Disciples only as he has stated himself,. to demonstrate by these powers thus authenticating his word and gospel message, thus proving ,, as it is written, Jesus was who he said he was.... the Son of God.

An uncanny difference between the Apostles performing miracles verses present day Pentecostal and Charismatic preachers exists, the present day miracles are of less if not void of the types of healings that occurred during the Apostolic era.

- They either blame it on someone lack of Faith or if no healing occurred, it was not in Gods will.
- Healings Biblically confirmed the Gospel, and the authority of God

- Since the evidence they bring is often very weak to prove their healings unsupported and over exaggerated
- Since charismatics are not known to go to Hospitals and Funeral Parlors , accident scenes, ICU wards or Emergency rooms \
- Since charismatics get sick like everyone else
- Since so much confusion and contradiction surrounds what is happening

It is a deception counterfeit reproduction without the power of the Holy Spirit . The gifts of healings signs and wonders were ALWAYS associated with Christ and the seventy others, plus Paul, Phillip and Barnabas etc. Healings always proclaimed the Gospel message. At Pentecost God gave these miraculous abilities to proclaim Gods word.
In illness as in everything else, the Christian should keep a Biblical perspective and seek to Glorify God.

TEN PROBLEMS WITH
THE PRESENT-DAY TONGUES MOVEMENT
Charismatics are misusing the gift. According to I COR 14:20-22 and HEB. 2:4, the purpose of tongues was a sign to unbelieving Jews.
They are not following the rules for the use of the gift as set forth in I COR. 14-22-40.
- They are not seeking to edify the church but are selfishly seeking to edify themselves. I COR. 13:5 love seeks not its own.
- Many speak at once, not one at a time,
- Some places they have no interpretation,
- Women are not to speak in a public meeting (14:34,35) and yet most in present day movement are women.
- In most of their meetings there is great confusion, 14:33,40.
- Seldom, if ever, are Jews present.
- Their teaching on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is false teaching. All believers are baptized by the Spirit at the moment of salvation, I COR. 12:13; ROM. 6:1-6.
- Their main emphasis is to be filled with the Spirit and love one another. However, Paul in I COR 13 teaches that one who is filled with the Spirit and has God's love:
- "Does not envy" - there is much envy in the tongues movement.
- "Vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up" - many of the tongues people boast of their experiences, not of Christ; they look down on those who have not had this experience.
- "Doth not behave itself unseemly" - many put on a big show. (Televangelists)
- "Seeketh not her own" - the whole movement is selfishly seeking a personal experience.
- "Is not easily provoked" - If you show these people what the Bible teaches about the gift, they reject the Word, hold to their experience, and become angry with you.
- In ACTS 2, 10, 19, the display of the gift of tongues was a sign for Jews present (see ISA 28:11-17).
- In Acts, those who were filled (controlled by) with the Holy Spirit were faithful witnesses for Jesus Christ.
- They did not tell of their emotional experience they only spoke of the Living Christ who had saved them. I know of no person in the tongues movement who is a consistent witness and soul winner. (There may be some, I have not met any).
- The key passage on the Spirit filled life in the epistles is EPH. 4:20 - 6:20. Paul does not list tongues as a result of being filled with the Spirit.
- No where in the epistles are we commanded to speak in tongues. I COR. 12-14 was not written to encourage tongues but it was written to correct the abuse and misuse of the gift of tongues. Speaking in tongues at Corinth was not a sign of spirituality but of carnality (see I COR. 3:1-3). It caused division, discord, pride, strife and self-seeking. It is causing the same problems today.
- The tongues movement is uniting people (many are unbelievers & even false teachers) on the basis of love and emotional experiences. II JHN 7-11 forbids us to unite with anyone who does not hold to the clear teachings of the Bible. See also GAL 1:6-10; MATT. 7:13-23.True love will not compromise truth for the sake of unity but will be in line with I COR. 13:4-7, II JHN 1:9-11, and JUDE 1:3.
- The present-day tongues movement is a side-track of Satan to keep the saints from being soul winners. God is not the author of confusion or division but this movement is causing confusion and division among God's people all over the world. Tongues is the primary tool Satan is using to accelerate the ecumenical movement and bring in the one-world church (Babylon REV. 17). This movement is not resulting in the unity of true believers, the exaltation of Christ and truth, and the evangelizing of the World as we have in the book of ACTS; but it is resulting in the unity of believers with unbelievers and false teachers, the exaltation of men and experience, and the sidetracking of the saints from soul winning to seeking after an experience. Many of these people are sincere dedicated believers. However, we must remember that Satan comes as an angel of light, as a minister of Christ, and as a minister of righteousness (II COR 11:13-15), and that it is possible for a dedicated believer to be deceived by the devil; remember Peter in MATT. 16:13-23.Even if you do not agree with my position that tongues have ceased, if you are a honest person you would have to agree that what is written here is true and that the present-day tongues movement is doing great harm to the cause of Jesus Christ. This movement must be exposed and avoided at all cost.

NO HARM CAN COME TO HIM IF HE IS TRULY GIFTED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT ... THE LIAR CANNOT AND WILL NOT AGREE ON ALL THE GIFTS GIVEN .. NO THEY JUST CHOSE THE ONE THEY CAN IMITATE .
